SKILL LEVEL: Easy
MATERIALS:
3-4 Skeins of #6 Super Bulky Yarn (I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick)
US size 19/15mm Straight Knitting Needles
Yarn Needle
Scissors
Optional: 10mm crochet hook, a long pieces of scrap yarn in a different color and a third knitting needle for a provisional cast on and three needle bind off
ABBREVIATIONS:
CO: Cast on
K: Knit
BO: Bind off
MEASURMENTS:: 60 inches around (30 inches folded in half) by 9 inches tall
Tips:
Optional finishing method- Instead of a regular cast on at the beginning, try a Provisional Cast on. When you have knitted your entire scarf, do the three needle bind off to bring your ends together. This is great if you aren’t confident in your sewing!
INSTRUCTIONS:
CO 18 (I use the long tail cast on)
Work Garter Stitch (K each row) for 60 inches
Bind Off and leave a 24 inch tail
Sew two open ends together using a whip stitch with tail from your bind off.
Weave in your ends
This pattern can be customized to your liking. Cast on more or less stitches and work the scarf as long or as short as you like. Play with it and have fun!
Stay Cozy 🙂
