Hey gang! I just wanted to pop in and share a quick and easy crochet pattern. This pattern is great for using up small amounts of yarn you have. These are always great for gifts too! 🙂
Crocheted Coffee Sleeve Pattern
Materials:
Cotton Worsted weight yarn (I used Lion Brand Cotton-Ease)
H 5 mm Crochet Hook
Scissors
Yarn Needle
Pattern:
Chain 32
Join with a sl st to the 1st chain to start working in the round
Row 1: Ch 1, work 1 HDC in same chain you joined into and each chain around. Join with a sl st to first HDC ( 32 sts)
Row 2-8: Ch 1, work 1 HDC into same HDC and each stitch around. Join with a sl st into first HDC (32 sts)
Row 9: Ch 1, work 1 SC into same stitch and each stitch around. (32 sts)
At the end you can slip stitch to the first stitch or you can do an invisible join (which I prefer! Google it if you don’t know how. It’s a game changer). Cut your yarn and weave in your ends.
That’s it! Easy, right? Of course you can always tweak the pattern by adding more or less rounds to make it the size you would like. It’s also fun to add crocheted things like hearts, flowers, etc.
This coffee sleeve will fit most travel coffee cups for your coffee shop. The cups below are from Starbucks and they all fit well.
If you aren’t a crocheter, you can hop over to my shop and get your own HERE!
Let me know if you have questions! Enjoy 🙂

Hi,
Where did you get the cups? I am trying to find some like that.
Thank You, Paula
Mary Jane says
They are actually just the disposable cups from Starbucks! I asked if I could have one of each size just so I could take pictures 😉
Tina says
You can actually buy these at Walmart where the paper plates and cups are.

Can we sell the ones we make as long as we give credit to you and link to your blog? I’m getting ready for a craft fair and think these would be a perfect addition to the wood k-cup caddies my hubby is making. TIA for getting back to me.
Mary Jane says
Yes of course! That sounds great. Good luck at the craft fair! These are always a great seller at my markets and craft fairs. Make a lot 😉

Hi there! I am open to custom orders. Could you possibly message me through Etsy? http://www.dakotahknits.etsy.com. It would be easier to discuss things through messaging on there.

HELP 😭 I have tried making this over and over but each time I seem to gradually add more stitches with each row. Does anyone have any idea why that could be?
Mary Jane says
Hi there! I am so sorry you are having some trouble! My thoughts are that you may be counting your chain at the beginning of each round as a stitch. The chain does not count as a stitch so you should be working into the first half double crochet, not the chain. Or, you may be working into the slip stitch at the end of a round from the previous row. I always like to count my stitches from the previous row before I start the next row. You should always have 32 stitches. I hope this helps!

I’m not sure what the heck I was doing, but I eventually figured it out and made tons of them as gifts! Thank you for the reply!

That’s so great to hear! I am sorry it took me so long to respond. I love making them as gifts as well! Especially for teachers. 🙂 Have a great week!
