A gal I went to high school with has been nice enough to provide me with baby boy clothes for our little guy. She gives me a great deal on the clothes! I think 95% of the clothes we have for our little one is from her. So most of the time I pay her but sometimes we exchange by having me make one of her kids a hat. For our last exchange, she requested a brim hat for her youngest son who is a little over one year old. I was looking through patterns I had and thought most of them looked kind of lame. The brim was usually kind of floppy and too small. I decided to branch out and look at knit patterns. I found the perfect one! It’s called the Skater Baby Brim Hat from Colorado Moms. She only provided one size but gave tips on how to resize it.
Here is little Blake showing off the hat!

I wish I would have taken pictures my self but it looks better on someone. What was so cool about this hat is the gal had you add plastic or cardboard in the brim to make it sturdy. So my husband was kind enough to sacrifice one of his hats so I could cut out the brim. I loved making this! I had a little trouble figuring out how tall to make the hat since she only provided measurements for one size. I think it fits him just fine and with room to grow.
