Bulky #5 yarn in any fiber you choose. (I used Loops & Threads Charisma from Michael’s and LOVED it)
6.5 – 7 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain correct gauge
Yarn or Tapestry Needle
Abbreviations:
sl: Slip Stitch
sc: Single Crochet
dc: Double Crochet
ch: Chain
st(s): Stitch(es)
Gauge: 9 sts x 6.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm
Note: At the beginning of each round, you will chain 2. This does not count as your first double crochet. You will slip stitch at the end of the round to the first double crochet.
Hat:
To begin, Ch 5 and join into a ring with a sl st in first ch. You can also do a magic ring here, which I did.
Round 1: 12 dc in ring.
Round 2: Ch2, 2dc in 1st, 2 dc in each st around. Sl to join (24 dc.)
Round 3: Ch2, 2dc in 1st st, 1 dc in next st, *2 dc in the next st, 1 dc in next st*, repeat *-*. Sl to join (36 dc.)
Round 4: Ch2, 2dc in 1st st, 1 dc in next two sts *2 dc in next st, 1 dc in next 2 sts*, repeat *-*. Sl to join (48 dc.)
*After round 4, the piece measures approx. 14 cm in diameter. This is a great place to make sure you’re on track for sizing
Rows 5-11 dc in each st around, sl to join. (48 dc.)
At this point you may want to try it on to see if you are ok with the height. If you want it longer just add another round.
Row 12: Ch1, sc in each st around. Sl st to first sc to join. (48 sc.)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
If you want a invisible, clean and nice looking way to finish off, click here! I started doing this and it makes a huge difference.

Hello!
Thank you for posting the pattern! I'm sure for seasoned crochetters they probably don't need a pattern for a hat, but for a new kid like me, it's awesome!!!!
Quick question though… I want to use the pattern and make the greenbay packers hat as you made for a friend of mine, but not sure how big his head is…. What sized head would it fit? I know his head is smaller than my boyfriends and was planning on basing it off that. Also, using different colors is a new challenge for me. Did you just start with all 3 colors and not use until you needed it? Or did you stop and start a new color as needed?
Sorry if these are silly questions!! Thank you again!!!

I love your hat! So cute! I'm confused by Round 2….I don't understand the "1 dc in same stitch as ch3 from previous row". There was not a ch3 in the previous row. What am I missing here?
Thanks so much!

I stumbled across your blog a few days ago and love all of your patterns and postings. Do you know if the flower pattern is for sale on Etsy or somewhere else? I would be happy to purchase it for some of my Christmas gifts this year.

I'm doing something wrong, can someone help me please? I've completed rounds 1 and 2. I chain three to go into round 3, but I have this gaping whole. I got to round 5 but took everything out (going back to round 2) to see what I did wrong. Have I done something wrong or should there be a whole?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as this would be an awesome birthday gift for my friend.
Blessing!

This is a great article. I love beanie hats but there are so many other Womens hats that look really nice. Obviously there are many different styles. There are also different styles for different seasons. For example, the beanie hats displayed in this article are usually meant to be worn in the winter. But fashion has come so far that, people every wearing them during the summer. Like I said before, there are many different types of hats women can wearing with outfits. For example, a beret, boonie hat, bucket hat, capuchon, cloche hat, fedora, floppy and cowboy hat. Those are just a few from a long list of hats available to buy these days. All you need to do is just be creative with these hats and find a way to incorporate them with different outfits.

All over on the world, women are wearing a sufficient mixed bag of jewelleries. Whether it is
about, engagement rings, wedding rings or silver jewellery gems are amazingly popular. So
why do as such numerous women wear adornments on regular basis and why do these
Embellishments have such a tremendous effect in the way they look and feel? The truth of the matter is that jewelleries have dependably been an essential piece of Indian societies, filling a few needs that are profoundly noteworthy to each of us. There is extraordinary mixture of diverse gems a man can look over like ladies rings, ladies necklaces or ladies earrings, and it all that much relies on upon the occasion he needs to present himself with the blessing and on the style he needs to go for and obviously the measure of cash he is willing to pay; jewellery can be made using lavish and in addition from shoddy materials, so it's truly up to you.
