I can’t wait to show her how to crochet someday! I think she’s already off to a good start
Did any of you teach your kids or grandkids how to crochet or knit?

Super cute! I just taught my friend's 7 year old how to chain. She needed both hands to chain so it'll be a while before a single crochet happens. She was really proud of her necklace though!

She is just the sweetest.
I want toe teach my 7 yr old boiy French Knitting (have to re-figure it out first, though). He plays with it, and will often take my kiddie sized knitting needles and some yarn, and pretend to "knit" with me 🙂

What a gorgeous wee poppet! Absolutely adorable pics. My wee girl insists on calling crochet 'knitting' and always wants to play with a 'knitting stick'!! Have fun.

this summer, I taught both of my (grown) daughters to crochet! We have all been working on blankets, my eldest daughter just finishing a brightly colored granny square blankie for her daughter (to be born this Friday!!!) We've all had such fun and it's great to share this hobby with them 🙂

Just adorable!! I have to tell you, I love your site!! You have the best tutorials I have found!!
I actually learned to crochet and knit when I was 5 or 6 years old from my Grandma. I actually still have several afghans she made for me and actually one she made for my Grandpa before I was born (which was 36 years ago). I have only picked up yarn again this last summer. Thank you for your wonderful site! you're bookmarked!!

When she gets a little older you might want to look into teaching her how to "Finger-knit" It's basically chaining using your fingers.
I think a child younger than 4 might find it too difficult, but she would probably love touching the yarn before then (not to mention having mama help her).
Love your blog!

My mom taught me when I was 20 because I wanted to make a blanket for my soon to be born son. She is left handed and I am a righty so that was difficult but I figured it out. My son is 8 now and desperate to use my loom to make a beanie! I'll teach him soon.
