Where are they now? Whatever happened to your __________?
Write about the fate of a past knitting project. Whether it be something that you crocheted or knitted for yourself or to give to another person. An item that lives with you or something which you sent off to charity. Looking back at everything I have made, I always think of the crocheted bag. This was my first real big project. It was a big challenge but I enjoyed it! I learned new things and it improved my crocheting skills. I got the pattern from Lucy’s blog called Attic24. She has such a great step by step pattern with pictures. I don’t know what I would have done with out those pictures! I am a visual learner. Crochet Bag Pattern I took pictures of my progress through out the bag process. Looking at these, I can see I had trouble at the end of the round joining the stitches. Also the way I joined a new color wasn’t the best. I basically just tied a knot and started, leaving a ton of loose ends that are too short to be woven in. But hey I don’t care! I still love the way it turned out. It’s very sturdy and has held light and heavy things. I like how after awhile I was able to just keep all of the yarn right inside and bring it with me places. My favorite was sitting outside in the summer and working on it The most difficult thing for me were the straps. Counting out the chain was hard. I lost count many times. Also as I was going, it started to curl which isn’t fun. The worst was the fact that when I was done with the first one, I had to make the second one all over again. Honestly though, if I were to make this bag again not, I wouldn’t have as hard of a time. Here’s the finished bag! I finished in it in August of last year I was very happy! I just love it! I love the bright colors more than anything. After it was done it became my bag for my next crochet projects. It was perfect for traveling and keeping everything together. My daughter Hailey loved it too. The little stinker would always dump everything out This bag has been to Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota and now South Dakota. And maybe more to come!
