Something to aspire to Is there a pattern or skill that you don’t yet feel ready to tackle but which you hope to (or think you can only dream of) tackling in the future, near or distant? Is there a skill or project that makes your mind boggle at the sheer time, dedication and mastery of the craft? Maybe the skill or pattern is one that you don’t even personally want to make but can stand back and admire those that do. Maybe it is something you think you will never be bothered to actually make bu can admire the result of those that have. There are many other techniques and stitches I would love to learn to crochet. But what I really want to practice and learn more about is knitting. I have done basic knitting but like I have said before, holding the needles and yarn have been difficult. This is mostly because I’m used to crocheting. Well I have been practicing Continental Knitting and this seems like a perfect fit for me! It requires holding off of your left hand and “picking” at the yarn as you go. It’s awesome! 
Source I found a website with great videos to help me. I need to add how pleasant and nice the woman’s voice is who is doing the video. The knit stitch video includes a really cute little rhyme to help you remember the steps. “In through the front door, out through the back. Peek through the window, and off jumps Jack” That has helped me a lot! I am very fascinated with knitting. I think mostly because it seems so difficult to me. I have been watching my Knit and Crochet Now DVDs and they have all kinds of cool knitting projects. It makes me have a major itch to pick up some needles and just go! Well that doesn’t happen for me. I feel like I am going in slow motion. But I am so determined to get the basic knitting down. I just need to be patient and do a lot of practicing. Just like when I started crocheting. I have a lot of friends having babies later this year. I would love to be able to knit one of their little ones a beautiful sweater. I found a very basic looking pattern that I may end up trying. All it requires is the knit stitch but you also have to know how to increase and decrease. Oh and sewing it all together. Yikes! But isn’t it cute?
