First off, this sweet little thing. My mother-in-law came to visit and I was able to make this for her while she was here. She named her Belle! She named her that because it’s my daughter Hailey’s middle name. I think it fits her just perfectly
I also made this cute hat for Kathy! I think she is giving it to someone as a gift. I love the colors and just had to add it to the shop
Next, trying new crochet stitches! I love the challenge and learning something new. The new stich I tried is called The Tunisian Stich. This stitch is awesome! It is a little tricky when you don’t have a long crochet hook. I would love to make a blanket with this someday.
Oh and speaking of new stiches, why did I just find out about the “Magic Loop”?? It’s awesome! If you don’t know what that is, basically it’s a way to start your project with out a big hole. It lets you close it up tightly. Here is an example. Look at the middle of the flowers. See how tight the middle is on the bottom flower? That’s what the Magic Loop does!
This makes me very happy Lastly, I am so excited about these two books! We made a trip to Barnes and Noble on Friday and I got these with a gift card I got for Christmas. There are so many things I can’t wait to try! Especially in the amigurumi book. (By the way I have no idea how to say that word! Ha)
Linking up… Sarah at ~sarahndipities~ featured my Spring coasters on her blog! Thanks so much Sarah
**Oh and head over to my blogger buddy Kelly’s blog if you get a chance! She did a review and giveaway from my Etsy shop. She is giving away one of my Spring Fling Beanies to one winner. She is offering a lot of ways to get extra entries, including 10 extra ones if you buy something from my shop. Head over if you want to enter! ** Three kids, a minivan, and a lot of love I hope you all have a fabulous first day of Spring!
