I recently stumbled upon a crochet blog by a woman named Sarah London who lives in Australia. First off, her blog is awesome. I am so drawn to amazing color when it comes to crocheting. Hers is exactly that.
Sarah started this project called Crochet a Rainbow. She is asking fellow crocheters all of the world if they would be willing to donate some colorful granny squares to make blankets. These blankets will be given out to the people in Australia who have been effected by the horrible flooding that has happened.
I’m am so excited to be participating in this great project! I love making granny squares since they are so easy and fast. Also the color combinations seem to be endless. I have a ton of extra yarn that I can use to make as many granny squares as I can. So far I am on a roll. Just yesterday I was able to make five! I plan on making many more before I send these off to Sarah.
If you would like to participate just click on the Crochet a Rainbow button at the top. That will direct you to Sarah’s blog and you can get more information from there. Well I’m off to put Hailey down for a nap then it’s back to crocheting more granny’s!

What a great project. I love the Granny Square Blankets but surprisingly don't own one. Good for you crocheting for charity. I set a goal to make 12 items for charity this year. I've already created two scarves and we just started February. Not bad, eh?
Happy Fiber Arts Friday!
